This coffee is grown in Siltepec, located in the central part of Chiapas. This coffee comes from the high-altitude area of the Sierra Madre, bordering the biosphere reserve El Trifuno, which is the habitat of an Endemic Bird Area, “El Quetzal.” This ecological region represents 30 percent of the flora in all of Chiapas territory.
Our El Jaguar comes from a group of small producers and is harvested and processed by hand. After harvesting it is de-pulped, fermented and washed before being dried in the sun.
The Coffee Sack it is delivered in is beautiful – with a colourful picture of a Jaguar.
This is a single origin coffee. Flavour – Chocolate, nutty. Body – Balanced. Acidity – Malic and citric

I found Ponaire after some googling and found this “Mexican Jaguar” by accident, not recommendation. Now I can certainly give my recommendation after trying lots of other coffee roasters. You wont be disappointed!

My family have been purchasing Ponaire products, since we tried one (2 years ago). We like to experiment and always buy and try different beans. We keep on going back to the Mexican Jaguar from time to time. It became our favourite. It has a strong enough and balanced taste. Nice to start our mornings with it 🙂

i came across Ponaire by change and ordered a few different beans to try out in my new bean to cup machine. The Mexican Jaguar was absolutely delicious. The fragrance and acidity was just perfect.
When the beans arrived, one packet had popped and beans had spilled out. Called Ponaire to let them know and the next day i received a package from them. Was not expecting it. That was great customer service! I will be ordering more today!
