We are thrilled that a panel of independent judges have deemed our coffees as deserving of these prestigious awards. The Great Taste Awards is the acknowledged benchmark for specialty food and drink. It has been described as the 'Oscars' of the food world and the 'Epicurean equivalent to the Booker prize.' Pónaire (Irish for bean) is the only local hand-crafted coffee roaster in the Mid West Region. We import our own raw beans from around the world and meticulously roast, blend, and package them ourselves. We are located in Annacotty, Co. Limerick where we have a custom built facility for our roastery and Coffee Shop. In April 2010 we launched our newly certified Fairtrade coffee as well as revamped labels for all our coffees. Our Connoisseur Espresso Blend won Gold in the Great Taste Awards in 2009 and 2010 and our Indian blend just won 3 Gold Stars.
